On Tuesday/Wednesday (Lesson 58), we have the entire period to work in project groups on the next three Bill Nye benchmarks: the Storyboard, Script, and Lesson Plan, all of which need to be finished and presented on Friday.
We devote Lesson 59 (Thursday/Friday) to discussion of the ending of The Great Gatsby. Come to class having finished the novel and prepared for a reading quiz on chapters 8 and 9.
Continue your American Author reading and writing in your thesis blog. Many of you are keeping up with the reading, but falling behind in the writing of your online journal. The thesis blog is not only an important part of your third quarter grade but also vital to developing a powerful thesis for your final paper. You should be deep into your second book (or the second third of your reading list) and soon to transition into your third book as we approach the end of March.
