Benchmark #02: Group Reading Summary

All groups are expected to finish reading their books by February 6 (an extra five days). In English class on Thurs. 2-7/Fri. 2-8 (depending on your block), your project group must make a formal presentation to your classmates that answers the following:

What was your book about? Summarize your book by outlining at least 3 of its major themes or topics.
What were some of the topics that resonated most?
What were the major wonders that come out of your reading?
What are some of the ideas that your group has come up with as possible research topics

Prepare a Keynote slideshow that complements your oral presentation. It should contain the following elements:

The book’s title and an image of the book’s cover
Summary of at least 3 major themes or topics discussed in the book
Outline of what resonated with your group
Outline of the major wonders your group had
List of possible research topics your group has come up with

Every group member must speak during the oral presentation. Sketch out a script that addresses all the questions listed above, and divide it among you. More than one group member can address particular questions.

All the Metro standards for public speaking apply: face the audience with confident posture, prepare notes that allow you to maintain eye contact with your audience, do not read from your Keynote slide.
