Congratulations to Metro students for the wildly successful Voter Information Night held on Monday, the culmination of our months-long Campaign Ad Project. You should be proud of your hands-on participation in this historic election. You certainly deserved the ABC-7 television news coverage we received.
This week we transition from the Campaign Ad project to our reading of the novella Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad. You need to read the first chapter, to page 27, by Friday.
Wednesday we spend time in class reviewing the results of the election. You are assigned another Summary & Response (#3), which is due next Friday, 11/14.
On Friday, Kokou makes a guest lecture to the class on the African perspective of Heart of Darkness.
Be sure that you complete and submit the Campaign Ad Reflection by the end of the week.
