For the Weekend: December 1–2
- Finalize and memorize your monologue. This is it. We have two more rehearsals before the show this week. Those rehearsals need to be clean and script-less. Remember: To be effective, you must memorize not merely what you say to the audience, but how you say it. That means you must practice out loud, with all the voice inflections, words emphasis, and pauses that you will do for the real thing.
- For Monday, 12/3, submit the typed final draft of Writing Assignment #3: Moving Voices Narrative. This is your larger, stand-alone story that you wrote before you started integrating it into your scene group and turning it into a dramatic monologue.
- Also for Monday, 12/3, submit the outline/concept map for your Song of Solomon essay. In whatever style works best for you, you need to depict the way that you are going to organize your paper so that it logically and sufficiently executes your thesis argument.
