Week 6: October 1–5

Because of the college field trip for juniors on Thursday, we are dropping the fast rotation Monday from the schedule. For reasons that have to do with coordinating with the Lower House, we begin with a slow-rotation B-day on Monday.

So there are two lessons this week:

Lesson 14 (Mon./Tues.): We continue and finish Moving Voices proposals.

Lesson 15 (Wed./Fri.): Reading quiz and discussion on chapters 2 and 3 of Song of Solomon.

The second half of class, you will have time with computers to log on to the electronic card catalog of your library and start looking for promising books and journal articles for your IRP paper.

Websites for the libraries that serve most of you:

If you don’t already have one, then one of your assignments this week is to get a library card from your local system. Students from Marin might consider getting a San Francisco card, which has a much more comprehensive system. You will need to show your library card in class on Wed./Fri.
