Monday (Lesson 5) is our first fast rotation day. You are introduced to the course website, and we review some course policies and expectations. Your next writing assignment, WA#2: Personal Statement, is assigned. The first draft is due Monday, 9/17. You are also assigned to read “Scar,” a story-chapter from Amy Tan’s The Joy Luck Club, by Thurs./Fri.
Project Studio and Language Arts join forces for Lesson 6 on Tues./Wed. to review sample Personal Statements.
On Thurs./Fri. (Lesson 7), we kick-off the Moving Voices project in a combined class with American History. Be prepared for a reading quiz and class discussion on the short story “Scar,” handed out on Monday.
