What to Do This Weekend: 10/20–21
- Continue your Moving Voices Notecard Research. Remember to use proper notecard technique. If you haven’t started this process, this is your top priority. In-class notecard checks will continue next week. By the end of next week, you should have over 100 notecards and be feeling like you’ve got a good handle on the subject.
- Next Tues./Wed., we will be doing a read-around of a first draft of your Moving Voices Narrative. It can be rough, but should run at least 600 words and give your classmates a good indication of the direction you are going with this assignment.
- Read Song of Solomon to page 216 (chapter 9) for Monday.
- Do two more thesis log entries on the Song of Solomon reading, bringing your total to ten entries.
Ongoing Reminder
Bring your notecard tools and at least one research book or article to school every day from now on. In the coming weeks, you will have time to work on your research in Language Arts, American History, and Project Studio, so always be prepared to make productive use of this time.
The Coming Week’s Schedule
A normal schedule (finally). You will see all your classes on the fast-rotation Monday. Tuesday through Friday goes A B A B.
